Caseworker

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The role combines office work, remote work, and field time throughout the service delivery area, with regular travel, occasional weekend or evening work, and transportation of clients and materials.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed case management to refugees and other ORR- and TANF-eligible clients.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop Family Self-Sufficiency Plans and Individual Employability Plans.
• Provide direct assistance, referrals, advocacy, benefits application support, and community-resource navigation.
• Monitor client progress, address barriers to employment and self-sufficiency, and maintain detailed case notes and family records.
• Collaborate with colleagues, service providers, refugee-serving agencies, and community organizations.
• Conduct outreach and may train or lead volunteers and interns.

Requirements

• Two or more years of case management experience in a social services environment.
• An undergraduate degree in Social Work or a similar field is strongly preferred; comparable related experience may substitute.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license, active insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area.
• Must possess or be eligible to receive an Arizona fingerprint clearance card and be able to drive a 15-passenger van.

Nice to have

• Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations.
• Public speaking or presentation experience.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or another refugee or immigrant language used in Arizona.
