Procurement / Category Manager - IT

Location: Salisbury, Maryland, United States — onsite/hybrid

Salary: $89,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Build and execute IT category strategies focused on cost, risk, service, and innovation.
• Lead RFP, RFQ, and RFI sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluation and negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, corrective action plans, and continuity risks.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, and benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align sourcing with business needs.
• Support contract lifecycle management and drive procurement improvements using standardized tools such as SAP Ariba.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of IT procurement or IT sourcing experience across hardware, software, telecom, and/or IT professional services.
• Experience running sourcing events and negotiating supplier agreements.
• Working knowledge of contract fundamentals and supplier performance management.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP and e-sourcing tools; SAP Ariba is preferred.
