Associate Category Manager

Location: Remote - Virginia, United States

Salary: $83,000–$110,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for an assigned services spend category, from sourcing and vendor evaluation through contracting and ongoing vendor management.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and create category plans.
• Lead or support RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, including vendor evaluation and award recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial terms while balancing cost, quality, risk, and business requirements.
• Manage contract renewals, amendments, and expiration tracking in partnership with Legal.
• Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs, analyze spend and market data, and identify opportunities for consolidation, vendor rationalization, and improved tail-spend management.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or contract management.
• Experience managing sourcing, commercial negotiation, vendor management, and the broader procurement lifecycle.
• Experience in services procurement, beyond goods, manufacturing, logistics, or production supply chains.
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to vendor negotiations and competitive sourcing.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, contract, and commercial skills.
• Ability to operate with individual ownership in an evolving environment and influence new ways of working.
