IT Category Specialist

What you will do

• Support category strategies and sourcing activities across software, SaaS, hardware, cloud, telecommunications, data, and professional services.
• Assist with sourcing events, RFPs, RFQs, renewals, supplier research, proposal evaluation, and negotiations.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, relationship management, performance tracking, service-level reviews, and governance activities.
• Analyze spend, pricing, usage, benchmarks, and supplier proposals to identify savings and cost-avoidance opportunities.
• Prepare and manage contracts, statements of work, amendments, renewals, extensions, and terminations.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and process improvements while collaborating with IT, Legal, Finance, business units, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of procurement, sourcing, vendor management, IT category, or equivalent business experience.
• Working knowledge of IT procurement categories and technology supplier commercial models.
• Familiarity with statements of work, renewals, amendments, service levels, licensing, confidentiality, data security, and supplier compliance.
• Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with procurement and contract management systems is preferred.
