Welding Specialist (Cladding Welding)

Location: Singapore; onsite work in the weld-shop environment

hirify.global is recruiting for a global energy technology and engineering company focused on integrated projects, equipment, technologies, and services, including subsea oil and gas developments.

What you will do

• Coordinate welding training, coaching, and performance improvement for weld-shop team members.
• Create welding parameters and programs for cladding machines, including Auto TIG and manual welding equipment.
• Support welder qualification tests, procedure qualification tests, and new material testing.
• Monitor weld-shop safety, quality, cost, delivery, equipment maintenance, and production output.
• Coordinate machine-tool maintenance, automation interfaces, manufacturing systems, and process improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or NITEC in a related field.
• Five to seven years of experience in a cladding-machine weld-shop environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and problem-solving methods, including 5S.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, shop mathematics, metal properties, and welding procedures.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with SAP is preferred.
• Ability to work in a shop-floor environment with noise, heavy equipment, machinery, temperature extremes, and material-handling equipment.

Nice to have

• SAP experience.
