Engineering Pod Lead for Engagement (React Native)

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm or London

What you will do

• Lead a pod of four to six engineers while remaining hands-on in product development and delivery.
• Build and ship the Engagement roadmap across iOS, Android, web, wearables, notifications, and clinic screens.
• Set technical direction for native mobile platforms, health data integrations, and notification systems.
• Own product quality, including crash-free rate, performance, release cadence, app store standards, and clinic-screen craftsmanship.
• Improve the pod through hiring, mentorship, direct feedback, and stronger engineering judgment.

Requirements

• Deep experience building consumer products across the stack, including React Native, web, and Swift or Kotlin where needed.
• Experience owning and improving a consumer retention or engagement metric.
• Experience owning an app store release process and crash-free performance metrics.
• Experience leading engineers as a tech lead or equivalent and raising team standards.
• Daily use of AI coding tools, with shipped work demonstrating their practical application.
• Technical experience with React, TypeScript, C#, Node, Cosmos DB, Figma, and Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with health, fitness, or behavioral products where engagement had a meaningful user impact.
• Experience with on-device health data, including HealthKit or Health Connect, wearables, or notifications at scale.
• A strong eye for motion, animation, and detailed product interaction design.
