Corporate Finance Attorney (Distressed Finance)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid working model with flexibility to work from home or remotely as needed. Work abroad is permitted for up to 3 months per year.

Salary: $256,000–$340,000 per year

What you will do

• Review leveraged finance and high-yield documentation to produce commercially focused analysis of distressed scenarios and primary-market activity.
• Write topical reports on secondary situations and collaborate with lawyers and credit analysts.
• Answer client questions about covenant packages for borrowers and issuers.
• Use proprietary technology to build and expand restructuring and liability management exercise databases.
• Deliver seminars, teach-ins, and podcast segments as a subject matter expert.
• Represent hirify.global in the press, at industry conferences, and at events.

Requirements

• JD and 5+ years of experience in a capital solutions, leveraged finance, capital markets, restructuring, or special situations team at a top-tier law firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-yield bond or leveraged loan documents, restructuring support agreements, and Chapter 11 documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness of leveraged finance and restructuring markets.
• Technical understanding of leveraged finance covenants and definitions.
• Existing relationships within the leveraged finance community.
• Excellent relationship-building, written, verbal, independent, and collaborative working skills.
