Customs Broker Lead

What you will do

• Build and grow a new specialist customs brokerage function across Australia and New Zealand.
• Lead the resolution of complex and escalated customs clearance matters.
• Design and implement operational processes, procedures, SOPs, workflows, controls, and operating standards.
• Act as a technical expert and partner with customers on clearance solutions, presentations, and solution design.
• Collaborate with Operations, Clearance, Commercial, Regulatory, and APAC stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, system enhancement, training, and capability development.

Requirements

• Significant experience in customs clearance, brokerage, or international trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and brokerage operations.
• Experience handling complex or escalated customer and clearance matters.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team development.
• Relevant customs qualifications, licensing, or certifications as required.
