Head of Operations Australia & New Zealand (Creative Technology)

Location: Based at the Botany warehouse in Sydney or the Scoresby warehouse in Melbourne, Australia.

What you will do

• Oversee operational activities across the organisation, from pre-production and resourcing through on-site delivery and pack-down.
• Lead a high-performing operations team across multiple locations and build a collaborative working culture.
• Coordinate with account managers, project managers, technical teams, warehouse staff, and crew to deliver projects involving technical equipment.
• Work with senior leadership to align operational processes with company goals.
• Support the development, implementation, and communication of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain technical knowledge of inventory and equipment maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience in live events or broadcast environments.
• Strong technical understanding of production systems and AV equipment.
• Working knowledge of logistics for shipping equipment by road and sea, both domestically and internationally.
• Experience leading and managing teams in administrative and technical roles.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate clearly with teams and clients.
• Hands-on, reliable, self-managed, solutions-oriented approach with a commitment to continual learning and developing others.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP software, particularly EasyJob.
• Experience in touring, corporate AV, studio, or large-scale event environments.
