Leading Hand / Dispatch (Day Shift) (Steel Distribution)

What you will do

• Support the Operations Supervisor by coordinating daily warehouse, processing, dispatch, and team activities.
• Allocate work and guide the operations team while promoting safe work practices and incident reporting.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound stock movements, receipting, load allocation, dispatch documentation, and customer collections.
• Process, pick, load, unload, and store steel and aluminium products using forklifts, cranes, and manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate transport providers and collaborate with customers, drivers, sales, and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement, service delivery, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Experience influencing or leading a team in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational environment.
• Current forklift licence and demonstrated experience operating a forklift safely.
• Crane operational competency or relevant experience.
• Experience loading, unloading, processing, and storing steel, metal, or similar products.
• Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, WMS, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong safety focus, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
