Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do

• Design manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Implement production standards, area layouts, tooling requirements, and manufacturing processes for new products.
• Develop cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
• Review factory performance indicators and provide recommendations to factory management.
• Collaborate with internal, outsourced manufacturing, and development partners on processes, compliance, and manufacturing issues.
• Support project teams in delivering reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions from new-product introduction through end of lifecycle.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in engineering design and solutions or a related field; an advanced degree with little or no experience may also qualify.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing engineering, tooling, lean manufacturing, process improvement, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with data analysis, project management, supply chain, and new product development.
• Ability to communicate effectively, analyze current-state conditions, prepare recommendations, and work independently on moderate-scope problems.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma certification.
• APICS certification.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and Python.
