Staff Engineer, Engineering (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Sustain, troubleshoot, and optimize test equipment for sputtered disks used in hard disk media manufacturing.
• Maintain stable test performance, measurement accuracy, equipment capability, product quality, and manufacturing throughput.
• Plan and expand test capacity while monitoring critical parameters such as KPIVs and parts per hour.
• Transfer test-related projects into production, including equipment buyoff, hardware and software enhancements, and new measurement methods.
• Install and set up testers, robotic automation systems, bagging systems, and conveyors.
• Collaborate with Operations, Process, Quality, and R&D teams on investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Advanced, higher, or graduate qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving process monitoring, data analysis, and data processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of Minitab, basic Visual Basic programming, and statistical concepts.
• Basic project management skills covering planning, execution, and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
