Fiber Deployment Engineer (AI)

Location: APAC; Singapore. The role requires onsite work in data centers, regular travel to project sites for 50–75% or more of the time, and includes responsibility for sites in the US.

What you will do

• Coordinate internal teams, third-party vendors, and external partners delivering data center infrastructure and fiber deployments.
• Drive deployment programs from initial concepts through execution, maintaining alignment on milestones, ownership, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
• Act as the onsite point person for fiber deployment across one site or a collection of sites.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, QA/QC coordination, escalation management, progress reporting, and executive communication.
• Develop scalable deployment solutions, playbooks, templates, reviews, and coaching for delivery teams.
• Advise leadership on delivery risks, technical issues, blockers, and resolution paths.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience driving fiber or GPU deployments in large-scale infrastructure or physical deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, distributed systems, and networking concepts.
• Experience in network operations, data center operations, deployment, or network scaling.
• Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical services in a hyperscale or public cloud environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel to project sites 50–75% or more of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with the end-to-end data center lifecycle, including power, utilities, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, networking, security, and operations handoff.
• Knowledge of substations, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, utility interconnection, and MEP dependencies.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Experience scaling program delivery operating models in high-growth infrastructure organizations.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.
