TL;DR
Piping Construction Manager (Oil & Gas): Managing piping construction from fabrication through mechanical completion and handover in large Oil & Gas projects with an accent on safe execution, quality compliance, multidisciplinary coordination, and schedule control. Focus on coordinating welding, NDT, hydrotesting, commissioning support, resource deployment, and compliance with ASME, ADNOC, and other international standards.

What you will do
- Manage piping construction activities from fabrication and installation through mechanical completion and handover.
- Develop construction execution plans, work packs, installation methodologies, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate piping work with mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation, commissioning, and start-up teams.
- Lead construction supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and field engineers while optimizing manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Promote HSSE compliance and oversee safe lifting, testing, tie-in, hot work, and risk assessment activities.
- Coordinate QA/QC inspections, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, punch list closure, and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- At least 20 years of Oil & Gas industry experience, including 10+ years as a Piping Construction Manager.
- Experience executing construction projects and managing large multicultural construction teams.
- Knowledge of piping fabrication and installation, isometric drawings, pipe supports, welding, NDT, hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, mechanical completion, and commissioning support.
- Experience with construction planning, work packaging, quantity tracking, progress measurement, material control, and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, ASTM, ISO, ANSI, and client-specific Oil & Gas standards including ADNOC requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with gas processing plants, LNG facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, brownfield modifications, or ADNOC projects.
