Project Director (Data Centre Construction)

What you will do

• Lead data centre construction projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
• Manage client projects and large multidisciplinary PMC teams across project management, commercial, construction, MEP, planning, and commissioning functions.
• Control schedules, budgets, risks, procurement, resources, change, commercial performance, and project governance.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, engineering, design, procurement, validation, construction, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Monitor site progress, safety, quality, compliance, commissioning readiness, snagging, issue resolution, and project performance.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, risk logs, change trackers, funding requests, and stage-gate documentation to support executive decision-making.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years at Senior Project Director or Programme Director level on major complex projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale, hyperscale, or mission-critical projects, ideally including 5+ years in data centre construction.
• GCC or Middle East experience and understanding of regional authorities, contractors, consultants, and delivery environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of data centres, including MEP-intensive delivery, commissioning, integration, and operational readiness.
• Experience with international developers, consultants, contractors, contracts, change management, procurement strategy, and project controls.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, decision-making, and accountability skills in international client environments.
