Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Robotics and Navigation): Integrating inertial navigation systems, GNSS receivers, and fibre optic gyroscope solutions into customer platforms across land, air, maritime, and robotics applications with an accent on field trials, data analysis, and end-to-end integration support. Focus on configuring and tuning systems, resolving interface and environmental issues, executing proof-of-concept deployments, and translating customer feedback into product improvements.
Location: Sydney, Australia; hands-on customer-site and field work required, with travel up to 25% of the time

What you will do
- Assess customer geospatial navigation requirements and design solutions using GNSS, INS, and fibre optic gyroscope technologies.
- Integrate, configure, mount, align, and tune navigation systems within customer platforms and operating environments.
- Plan and run field trials, tests, and proof-of-concept projects; collect and analyse navigation data against reference truth.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, pre-sales support, and post-sales implementation assistance.
- Debug integration issues, resolve product escalations, and provide customers with regular project updates.
- Capture field feedback and contribute to product documentation, integration guides, and Product and R&D priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in pre-sales or technical sales.
- Strong technical knowledge of inertial navigation systems, GNSS, and fibre optic gyroscopes.
- Strong experience with Python or Matlab for data analysis, plus experience using integrated CRM systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, presentation, customer relationship, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on in field environments and travel up to 25% of the time.

- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with additional scripting tools.
- Knowledge of other languages.
