Field Ops Specialist (IoT Hardware)

Location: New South Wales, Australia; remote role with regular travel across Australia

What you will do

• Maintain and repair hirify.global’s on-farm hardware infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware issues and provide clear information to the relevant teams.
• Travel to farms to support deployments, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Collect and analyse hardware data to improve operational efficiency and identify issues early.
• Build and manage a maintenance system tailored to the Australian market.
• Participate in the global on-call roster and collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams.

Requirements

• Practical hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.
• Ability to diagnose field issues and communicate actionable feedback to remote product and engineering teams.
• Strong ownership, initiative, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teams across different locations and time zones.
• Comfort working in an ambiguous early-stage market-entry environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Australia, including 3–4 days per week on the road and occasional nights away from home.
