TL;DR
Deployment Lead (HVACR): Leading technical deployment of building management system integrations, metering, and analytics across commercial real estate and grocery portfolios with an accent on BACnet, Modbus, networking, security, and scalable delivery standards. Focus on evaluating complex integration approaches, coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, and delivering secure solutions across Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America.
Location: Hybrid in Melbourne or Sydney, Australia

What you will do
- Lead technical delivery for deployment work across commercial real estate and grocery divisions.
- Set deployment standards, integration approaches, and technical positions for clients, partners, and vendors.
- Evaluate complex building-system integration approaches without writing the integrations directly.
- Plan team capacity across employees, delivery partners, and offshore resources.
- Develop team goals, progression plans, SOPs, and scalable delivery processes.
- Coordinate with Product, Commercial, Customer Success, , customers, and external partners.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in the listed technical and delivery areas.
- Hands-on experience with building management systems, field commissioning, BACnet, Modbus, Niagara or an equivalent framework, and major vendor platforms.
- Experience with edge gateways, VPNs, subnets, firewall rules, remote customer access, and client IT coordination.
- Knowledge of electrical, thermal, water, and gas metering, including gateways, communications devices, and validation.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams covering HVAC, data modelling, networking, and software or systems architecture.
- Legal authorization to work in Australia is required; visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with offshore teams, outsourced delivery partners, data modelling and tagging, or large multi-site rollouts.
- HVAC or BMS logic design, HVAC design, refrigeration controls, or grocery and refrigeration estate experience.
- Scripting and automation, including LLM-assisted tooling.
- Linux and containers for edge-device deployments.
