Senior Lead, Software Engineering Specialist Workday Time Tracking and Absence (Workday)

What you will do

• Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday Time Tracking and Absence solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and supportable Workday configurations.
• Own solution quality, configuration changes, and production support for live Workday environments.
• Advise on best practices and assess impacts across time, absence, payroll, and the wider Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, integration partners, downstream teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver compliant business solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience with deep expertise in Time Tracking and Absence.
• Experience independently delivering Workday configuration solutions from requirements through deployment.
• Strong understanding of time, absence, and payroll-related processes, including downstream impacts.
• Experience supporting production Workday environments and global or multi-country deployments.
• Knowledge of Workday business processes, security considerations, and reporting impacts related to Time and Absence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in an enterprise, cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional Workday functional areas such as Compensation, Benefits, or Projects.
• Experience working in a matrixed or global team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, HRIS, or a related field.
