Expert IT Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakland, California, with weekly or business-needs-based in-person work at the Oakland office

Salary: $128,000–$218,000 per year base range, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation

What you will do

• Advise business and IT stakeholders and translate enterprise needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Analyze business processes, systems, and data; define functional and nonfunctional requirements and detailed specifications.
• Assess feasibility, risk, scope, solution alternatives, priorities, and alignment with technology standards.
• Support a portfolio of more than 300 applications and validate complex application solutions.
• Manage vendor service delivery, performance metrics, benchmarking, service-level reviews, and provider reporting.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract renewals for third-party applications, including licensing, usage, budgets, and service expectations.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of job-related IT experience, including 5 years of business analysis experience.
• Ability to independently analyze and design solutions for complex projects with minimal guidance.
• Experience coordinating analysis and requirements across multiple projects and business functions.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, oral, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of testing, project management, software development, SOX or regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and disaster recovery.

Nice to have

• Experience managing vendor contracts and renewals for SaaS or third-party applications.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional reviews and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
