IT Business Solutions Analyst (GIS)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required, respond to emergency restoration assignments, and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.

Annual salary: $114,970–$127,740, plus potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between assigned business areas and IT, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Lead workflow and business process analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and facilitate solution development and implementation.
• Document requirements, user stories, process models, and IT roadmaps for business areas.
• Collaborate with architects, technical teams, business clients, and internal or external development groups throughout the application lifecycle.
• Prepare capital project business cases and estimates and present them to the PMO and Finance.
• Support procurement activities, including RFP/RFI events and statements of work.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of demonstrated business analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with business process analysis, current-state and future-state process modeling, requirements documentation, and solution design.
• Knowledge of IT service management, demand management practices, IT standards, controls, financial models, and budgeting.
• Experience with ESRI / ArcFM GIS Enterprise.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, influence management-level stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and lead small teams.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the utility industry.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools such as Jira or VSTS.
• Business analysis or requirements engineering certifications, including ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, AAC, CFLBA, CPRE, PMI-PBA, or SAFe POPM.
