Director, HR + Legal Technology & Transformation (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office at the Santa Clara office

Annual base salary: $225,000–$281,000 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Define and execute the HR and Legal technology strategy, architecture, investment roadmap, and operating model.
• Lead modernization, implementation, integration, and evolution of enterprise applications supporting HR, Legal, employee experience, compliance, and corporate services.
• Drive transformation from current-state assessment and capability mapping through future-state design, delivery, adoption, and value realization.
• Establish governance for applications, architecture, integrations, data quality, vendors, service levels, risk, security, privacy, and lifecycle management.
• Use emerging technologies, including AI, to simplify workflows, reduce manual work, improve self-service, and strengthen operational effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team while communicating progress, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and business value to executives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise technology, business applications, digital transformation, or technology-enabled operations.
• Meaningful experience supporting HR and/or Legal organizations and leading complex implementations across applications, platforms, integrations, and data ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of HR technology domains including HCM, talent, recruiting, compensation, workforce management, employee experience, and HR analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Legal technology domains including legal service delivery, contract lifecycle management, matter management, e-billing, eDiscovery, intellectual property, compliance, privacy, or legal operations.
• Experience with governance, service management, application ownership, operational metrics, organizational change, stakeholder adoption, and process redesign.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
