People Operations Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, hybrid; onsite Tuesdays through Thursdays at the Union Square, Manhattan headquarters

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annual base compensation, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the People technology stack, including Rippling, Ashby, and adjacent systems.
• Evaluate and implement AI-native tools and automate onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and compensation cycles.
• Lead People system migrations, legacy system replacements, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Build integrations and data pipelines connecting People systems with business intelligence and revenue systems.
• Design self-service reporting for workforce planning, hiring funnel health, retention, performance, and organizational design.
• Establish data governance, access controls, audit trails, security, SSO, SOC 2, and data privacy practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in People Systems, People Analytics, HRIS, or comparable technical operations roles.
• Hands-on experience with Rippling, Ashby, or comparable HRIS and ATS platforms, including configuration, APIs, integrations, and data architecture.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience building reports in Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Experience leading system migrations or consolidations.
• Sound judgment regarding data privacy, access, and governance in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
• Ability to explain technical systems work and business impact to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating HR systems with Salesforce, Gong, or other business and revenue systems.
• Experience evaluating or implementing AI-native automation tools.
• Fintech or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience building talent intelligence or workforce planning models, or familiarity with compensation and equity systems.
