Location: Yorba Linda, California, United States; onsite schedule of four 10-hour days per week

Salary: $96,000–$178,000 annually

What you will do

  • Lead quality engineering activities for electro-mechanical assemblies, primarily RF circuit card assemblies, through design, development, and transition to outsourced production.
  • Develop and deploy APQP tools, DFM activities, quality plans, inspection methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement, supplier audits, source inspections, and First Article Inspections.
  • Lead supplier corrective actions, root-cause investigations, CAPA activities, and material review for nonconformances and defects.
  • Interpret and flow down customer quality requirements while collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and customers.
  • Use quality metrics and risk management to prevent nonconformance and improve program performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 6 years of Quality Engineering experience, or a graduate degree with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Ten years of Quality, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
  • At least 6 years of experience interpreting complex electrical and mechanical drawings and using 8D, APQP, Value Stream Mapping, and CAPA tools.
  • Experience collaborating effectively in dynamic environments with multiple changing priorities.
  • Must be a United States citizen and able to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, AS9145, AS9102, J-STD, ANSI J-Standards, IPC workmanship standards, Jira, and TipQA.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
