Principal Product Engineer (Physical Verification)

Location: Gyeonggi-do (Seoul), South Korea; work includes onsite and remote customer support.

What you will do

• Enable and support in-design physical verification solutions throughout semiconductor design implementation flows.
• Provide technical expertise in DRC, fill, and LVS methodologies for advanced technology nodes.
• Deploy, debug, and optimize customer PV flows using Innovus and Pegasus/PVS technologies.
• Collaborate with foundries to validate and improve physical verification rule decks.
• Resolve complex customer issues and coordinate with R&D, field teams, foundries, and customers.
• Develop automation and verification methodologies that improve productivity, coverage, and turnaround time.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree, or 10+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience with digital implementation tools, preferably hirify.global Innovus.
• In-depth knowledge of DRC, fill, and LVS, plus experience with advanced-node signoff flows at 16nm/14nm FinFET and below.
• Practical experience debugging physical verification issues in customer design environments.
• Knowledge of commercial PV tools such as Pegasus/PVS, Calibre, ICV, or equivalent solutions.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and strong customer-facing communication skills.

Nice to have

• Foundry enablement and physical verification rule-deck development or validation experience.
• Experience in design services or customer support organizations.
• Scripting or automation experience with Tcl, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with advanced-node DRC closure, fill strategies, and signoff verification.
