Principal Applications Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea; willingness to travel is required.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for prober station systems to key customers.
• Stabilize equipment and improve yield in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Develop and optimize applications based on customer requirements.
• Maintain and improve equipment performance in production environments.
• Support new tool evaluation, qualification, and ramp-up.
• Deliver technical training and resolve customer issues through root cause analysis.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment applications or field engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, PhD without experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and collaborate with distributor engineers; 10+ years of experience is applicable for this responsibility.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with parametric or reliability testing.
• Understanding of silicon photonics.
