Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea; onsite

What you will do

• Design production probe cards from customer technical specifications using schematics and spreadsheet formats.
• Translate customer requirements into logical designs, netlists, and electrical design guidance for physical designers.
• Apply design rules and electrical concepts to space transformer and PCB design activities.
• Analyze customer and vendor issues and provide quick-turn feedback to Sales and Design.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, PCB Design, Substrate, and Mechanical teams on design, training, and customer evaluations.
• Manage multiple design projects, including scheduling, progress, quality, documentation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3–10 years of experience in electrical design and electrical design concepts, with related experience expectations of at least 5 years with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree.
• Knowledge of impedance, power distribution networks, signal integrity, and digital and analog circuit design.
• Understanding of physical routing concepts, including differential pairs and split planes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Effective English communication skills are strongly preferred for collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of multilayer PCB, ceramic, or organic substrate design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with PADS, Allegro, EPD, or AutoCAD.
• Experience in semiconductor testing, wafer probing, or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Programming skills.
