Sr Principal Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea; frequent travel within Korea and occasional overseas travel required.

hirify.global provides test and measurement technologies for the semiconductor product life cycle, including wafer probing systems used in characterization, qualification, and production testing.

What you will do

• Install, commission, qualify, and upgrade semiconductor wafer probe stations at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system health checks.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and motion-control issues.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support, customer training, and assistance with evaluations, FAT, and SAT activities.
• Coordinate with technical support, applications engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams on complex issues.
• Maintain service reports, installation records, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of field service experience with semiconductor capital equipment.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of wafer probing systems, semiconductor testing, or precision motion systems.
• Experience with Windows-based software, networking, equipment control systems, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, independent working, and customer communication skills.
• Business-level English communication skills and willingness to travel frequently within Korea are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with wafer probe stations, semiconductor manufacturers, wafer-level electrical measurements, RF testing, Silicon Photonics, MEMS, or advanced packaging.
• Experience with robotic systems, motion control, precision alignment, or semiconductor measurement instruments such as Keysight, Keithley, or Tektronix.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead complex customer projects.
• Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
