Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week

Starting base salary: $208,000–$260,000 per year, plus equity and other compensation components.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and architecture of US and Canada regional experiences across customer-facing web and mobile surfaces, services, and integrations.
• Lead large cross-team initiatives and partner with product, design, analytics, and engineering leaders to shape regional roadmaps.
• Advise domain-level planning and lead design reviews across both regional teams.
• Establish AI-native engineering practices and maintain automation standards across teams.
• Improve reliability, observability, security, quality, and scalability while resolving long-standing engineering bottlenecks.
• Mentor engineers at multiple levels through design and code reviews while remaining hands-on with TypeScript, React Native, Java/Kotlin, and Go.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, including leading large multi-team initiatives end to end.
• Strong computer science, web, native app, design pattern, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Advanced expertise in one or more of TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or Go.
• 4+ years of React or React Native development experience.
• Experience leading team and cross-team design reviews and designing for extensibility.
• Experience applying AI throughout the software development lifecycle and influencing across team boundaries.
