Co-op, Quality Engineering: January-June (Onsite) (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States. Position dates: January 11, 2027 – June 30, 2027.

Annual base salary range: $25.00–$34.00, with potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod platform for insulin delivery and other subcutaneous drug therapies.

What you will do

• Analyze quality and operational process data to identify trends, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement projects across quality engineering, manufacturing quality systems, and operations.
• Develop process maps, value stream maps, standard work documentation, dashboards, reports, and visual management tools.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive action planning.
• Document findings, recommendations, and implementation plans in alignment with quality system requirements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum sophomore standing at an accredited college or university.
• Available for the January–June 2027 co-op period.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Experience or coursework in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality Engineering, Statistics, Process Improvement, Operations Management, or Data Analytics is preferred.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio, Copilot, or similar data analysis and process mapping tools.
• Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and continuous improvement principles.
• Previous internship, co-op, research, leadership, engineering, quality, manufacturing, or operations experience.
