Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: North Haven, Connecticut, United States; onsite five days per week

Salary: $102,400–$153,600 per year

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support for multiple Stapling product families.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.
• Develop and implement product, process, material, and test method changes.
• Execute qualification and validation activities for components, equipment, and process changes.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Research and Development teams.
• Analyze production data and drive improvements in cost, waste, throughput, process capability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 2+ years; or a PhD.
• Experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, or product sustainment in a regulated production environment is preferred.
• Experience with root cause investigations, corrective actions, cross-functional projects, and multiple production priorities is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, machining, metal injection molding, plastic injection molding, GD&T, process control, and continuous improvement is preferred.
• For roles below Principal level, candidates must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; U.S. sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Experience with ERP systems, including BPCS, and Agile change management software.
• Experience with Cognex or Keyence inspection systems and automated or semi-automated assembly.
