Production Mechanic (A-Shift) (MedTech)

What you will do

• Install, set up, change over, maintain, test, and repair manufacturing equipment used to produce absorbable, non-absorbable, molded, and needle products.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production-line equipment failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, precision equipment setups, equipment adjustments, and breakdown repairs while maintaining accurate records.
• Read wiring diagrams, machine blueprints, pipe layout diagrams, manuals, and work orders to complete maintenance activities.
• Support manufacturing engineers and production teams with repair schematics, testing equipment, technical escalations, and process improvements.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, Maintenance Excellence, 6S, Operator Asset Care, FDA quality systems, and safe plant operations.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of work experience.
• High school education, GED, or equivalent skills, experience, or training.
• Preferred: at least two years of electrical, electronic, or mechanical technical school, equivalent formal training, military training, or relevant experience.
• Technical troubleshooting, computer, communication, interpersonal, and basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to operate basic PLC controls, use hand and power tools and test equipment, manage CMMS work orders, and work independently with limited direction.
• Ability to work onsite in Cornelia, Georgia, participate in on-call schedules, respond to emergency equipment situations, and follow safety, FDA, GMP, OSHA, and company compliance requirements.
