Senior Software Project Manager (Scaled Agile/Device Development)

Location: On-site in Concord, Ontario, Canada

Annual salary: $125,000–$135,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead platform and application software planning, coordination, and execution for development teams and release trains using Scaled Agile practices.
• Manage system-level integration across software, firmware, instruments, peripherals, and third-party components.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration across Software, Firmware, Hardware, Service, and Research functions.
• Lead concurrent hardware and software development programs through integration, validation, and commercial release readiness.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction, scalability, maintainability, and long-term product lifecycle objectives.
• Prepare project communications, status reports, progress metrics, and performance measurements for teams and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• 7+ years of experience as a software engineering professional and/or project manager.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development environments.
• Experience managing system development and integration projects involving embedded hardware, firmware, and control or processing software.
• Experience managing platforms that support multiple products, configurations, device variants, or customer workflows.
• Ability to assess technical trade-offs and risks involving scope, architecture, performance, usability, reliability, maintainability, and release readiness.

Nice to have

• Experience in systems engineering and product architecture.
• Platform or enterprise software development experience.
• Experience with concurrent project execution in a shared code base.
