About the Role
You will own mechanical design for chilled-water plants, air-cooled and direct-liquid-cooling systems, piping, and fire protection. You will serve as Engineer of Record, resolve construction conflicts, review deliverables, and support commissioning.
Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer license
- 7+ years designing mechanical systems for data centers, industrial facilities, or mission-critical facilities
- Knowledge of IMC, IPC, IECC, NFPA 13, ASME B31, and ASHRAE TC 9.9
- Experience with chilled-water plants and liquid-cooling architectures
- Ability to read and redline P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and construction documents
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and construction teams through commissioning
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end mechanical system design
- Serve as Engineer of Record for calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Identify and resolve construction conflicts
- Support construction and commissioning
- Review cost, constructability, and third-party engineering deliverables
