Mechanical Technician 1 - 3rd Shift (HVAC/R)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; onsite, third shift. The schedule consists of five eight-hour workdays from Sunday night through Friday morning.

What you will do

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to performance-test variable-speed compressors.
• Install compressors and support compressor electronics for testing.
• Operate calorimeters, mass flow stands, data acquisition systems, variable-speed drives, and other laboratory equipment.
• Fabricate test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests.
• Review test data against applicable standards and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 1–3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Associate degree plus three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic systems.
