Operator Maintenance Technician (Boiler and Chilled Water Operations)

What you will do

• Safely operate boilers, auxiliary equipment, chilled water processes, and assigned plant and distribution systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot engines, motors, pneumatic tools, refrigeration systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Install, repair, and replace piping systems, valves, traps, pumps, boilers, and related plant equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, hoists, cranes, diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications to maintain equipment.
• Identify and correct unsafe work environments and maintain clean, compliant working conditions.
• Complete plant operator qualification training and obtain the City of Tulsa Stationary Engineer license within one year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in steam or equipment operations and maintenance, or related experience.
• Knowledge of boiler and chilled water plant operations.
• Ability to work independently, communicate orally and in writing, and work overtime when required.
• Valid driver license in good standing and ability to pass a company-provided physical exam and drug screening.
• Ability to climb and tolerate heights up to 75 feet, work in confined spaces and temperature extremes, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• State of Oklahoma High Pressure Boiler License.
• Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
• Experience with water chemistry, Maximo or another work order CMS, and Microsoft Office.
