Low Voltage Senior Estimator

What you will do

• Lead complete and competitive responses to RFPs, including estimate plans, bid schedules, work assignments, and closeout requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, codes, standards, schedules, and bid documents to define scope, identify risks, and establish estimating strategies.
• Prepare and review quantity takeoffs, labor assumptions, material pricing, subcontractor values, equipment costs, indirect costs, and change-order estimates.
• Coordinate suppliers, manufacturers, integrators, subcontractors, estimators, operations, clients, and leadership throughout each pursuit.
• Lead estimate kickoff, progress, risk review, and bid close meetings while monitoring pursuit quality, accuracy, and productivity.
• Maintain cost databases, labor-productivity data, assemblies, estimating standards, templates, tools, and quality-control processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading low-voltage estimates valued at more than $2 million.
• Experience with conceptual estimates, competitive bids, negotiated proposals, alternates, allowances, and detailed change orders.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam quantity takeoffs and ConEst or comparable assembly-based estimating software.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber, audio-visual, security, fire alarm, life-safety, nurse-call, building automation, HVAC controls, SCADA, instrumentation, and related systems.
• Strong understanding of labor units, crew composition, productivity factors, construction methods, contracting methods, RFP compliance, scope development, proposal strategy, and change-order pricing.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, with strong analytical, mathematical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
