Estimator II T&D (Electrical Construction)

Location: Castle Rock, Colorado, United States. The position requires work in a company-designated office or field location, including on-site job walks, pre-bid meetings, and job site visits.

Salary: $88,586–$149,711 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation electrical construction projects.
• Develop complex estimates using project history, production assumptions, labor hours, and cost data.
• Perform material takeoffs and solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare proposal documents, work plans, clarifications, exceptions, and RFQ/RFP packages.
• Lead estimate reviews, bidding activities, and the estimating team.
• Attend field job walks, pre-bid meetings, and site visits to assess constructability requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and ability to work under time pressure.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
