Estimator III (Electrical Construction)

Location: Onsite at a company-designated office or field location in Castle Rock, Colorado, United States

Salary: $107,763–$134,615 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual, design-build, and EPC cost estimates and bid packages for transmission, substation, and distribution projects.
• Prepare bills of material, field take-offs, work plans, and information for Purchasing.
• Perform field walk-downs and determine constructability requirements with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel.
• Coordinate with Project Management on document reviews, data entry, change orders, cost tracking, and project closeout.
• Identify and mitigate estimating risks and participate in estimate reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and mentor Estimator Trainees and Estimators while reviewing estimating staff performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
• At least five years of transmission, substation, and distribution construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, construction means and methods, engineered material costs, and long-lead equipment.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and other plans, specifications, blueprints, and proposals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Accubid, or comparable estimating software.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
