Senior SDET - Platform (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding U.S. territories. Core meeting hours are 9AM–2PM Pacific time. Occasional travel may be requested but is not required.

Salary: $198,000–$281,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain shared automation frameworks, internal services, and developer tools for QA and engineering teams.
• Validate functionality, integration, reliability, performance, and usability across APIs, services, user interfaces, and platform layers.
• Build and evaluate AI-assisted and agent-based testing capabilities with human oversight, permission controls, evaluations, and fallback behavior.
• Develop automated security testing for authentication, authorization, API security, access boundaries, and sensitive-data handling.
• Test AI-enabled tooling for incorrect outputs, prompt injection, information exposure, unintended actions, and dependency failures.
• Integrate quality and security checks into CI/CD workflows, investigate failures, document solutions, mentor teams, and measure adoption and coverage improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of software testing experience, including 3+ years building automation frameworks, quality engineering tools, or shared testing platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with software design, automated testing, code review, and maintainable shared tooling.
• Hands-on experience with functional, integration, reliability, performance, API, service, UI, and platform testing.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing, agent workflows, evaluation criteria, tool permissions, data protection, and failure handling.
• Experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security testing.

Nice to have

• Experience owning internal developer or QA products through rollout, support, and continuous improvement.
• Experience evaluating AI safety and robustness, including prompt injection, unintended tool actions, and information leakage.
• Experience building shared test data, test environments, quality reporting, diagnostics, or testing standards.
