Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: West Valley City, Utah, United States; hybrid work with remote work allowed on Wednesdays and Fridays

Salary: $117,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Write high-quality, tested, maintainable, and observable Go code for a distributed architecture.
• Design and plan resilient software platforms in collaboration with third-party vendors and users.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
• Establish and improve coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, project planning, and occasional on-call support.
• Mentor engineers and provide formal and informal training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent education, certifications, training, and experience.
• Experience with Go; experience with MySQL is preferred.
• Ability to design and test distributed software platforms and write high-quality, monitorable code.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to assume rare on-call responsibilities and collaborate effectively with engineers and vendors.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and frontend frameworks, especially Vue.js.
