What you will do
- Prepare drainage design plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates for stormwater management, roadway drainage, culverts, and conveyance systems.
- Perform advanced hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to evaluate drainage performance, mitigate flood risks, and develop effective design solutions.
- Coordinate drainage work with roadway, bridge, utility, survey, and environmental disciplines on multidisciplinary transportation projects.
- Ensure designs meet federal, state, local, client, quality, safety, and constructability requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineering staff.
- Support design reviews, quality assurance and control, schedule management, client coordination, and project milestone delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
- 2+ years of Texas transportation drainage design experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Onsite work in El Paso, Texas is required for this role.
