Roadway Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Brentwood, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States

hirify.global provides transportation engineering and infrastructure design services for local, county, and state roadway and highway projects.

What you will do

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections for roadway projects.
• Prepare design documentation, plans, reports, and quantity calculations.
• Perform geometric analyses, engineering calculations, and cost estimates using established design criteria.
• Collect and process topographic survey and right-of-way engineering data for design analysis.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Work between office and field environments under the direction of a project manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office and field environment in Tennessee.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including occasional operation of a company vehicle and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 pounds.
