Water & Wastewater Field Engineer

Location: El Paso, Texas, United States. Hybrid work between an office and field environment, with occasional exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.

What you will do

• Conduct field inspections of water distribution, wastewater collection, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Monitor construction activities and coordinate with contractors, consultants, operations personnel, and regulatory agencies.
• Investigate operational issues, system failures, customer complaints, and infrastructure deficiencies, recommending corrective actions.
• Support planning, design review, implementation, commissioning, and asset management for utility infrastructure and capital projects.
• Collect and analyze field data related to system performance, asset condition, pressure, flow, and water quality.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, project updates, and engineering recommendations while supporting emergency response and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with water distribution, wastewater collection, pump stations, treatment facilities, or utility construction projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments and perform occasional physical activities, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 pounds.
• Successful completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience operating a company vehicle.
