Lead Embedded Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Full-time position with up to 10% travel. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Lead customer engagement for network and Common Services and Network Solutions requirements.
• Act as the primary interface between customers, the global value team, and delivery teams.
• Collect, analyze, prioritize, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Coordinate budget planning, delivery schedules, platform hardware, and development tools.
• Facilitate release planning for testing, release candidates, and production intent.
• Own customer issues and feature enhancements for embedded network and information services.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading requirements, design, development, and testing of embedded network communication or foundational information software.
• Experience developing embedded C and/or C++ software in accordance with software architecture and development processes.
• Experience with large or multiple software products, technical troubleshooting, and evaluation of implementation and tooling trade-offs.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or computer science with 6 years of systems and software development experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years of embedded network communication and software development experience.
• At least 4 years of concurrent experience in automotive, machine, or industrial embedded software development.
• Experience with data link and networking protocol libraries, low-level network drivers, CAN, CAN FD, J1939, and Ethernet.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AVB/TSN, Industrial Ethernet protocols, autonomy, and automation middleware.
• Experience providing consulting on developer workbench tool selection and utilization.
