Design-Build Preconstruction Manager (Electrical Construction)

Salary: $138,000–$182,000 annually, plus a discretionary year-end bonus

What you will do

• Lead complex electrical design-build and preconstruction efforts from pursuit through project handoff.
• Develop estimates, budgets, cost models, pricing strategies, proposals, and negotiated submissions.
• Manage scope, schedule, risk, value engineering, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and cost reconciliation.
• Coordinate with clients, design teams, operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and business development partners.
• Mentor and direct estimators and project team members while maintaining quality and accountability.
• Improve estimating standards, cost databases, quality-control procedures, and preconstruction practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical estimating, preconstruction, design management, project management, or commercial and industrial construction field operations is preferred.
• Experience leading large, complex design-build or design-assist pursuits and developing client relationships.
• Ability to manage a team of 2–6 people.
• Experience with Viewpoint software is preferred.
• Preferred credentials may include PE or EIT, DBIA, ASPE CPE, PMP, LEED AP, Envision Sustainability Professional, OSHA 30, or relevant electrical, estimating, scheduling, commissioning, manufacturer, or field-leadership certifications.
