Intern - Operations (Electrical Construction)

Location: San Jose, California; onsite work. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Hourly rate: $20.00–$28.00 per hour, non-exempt, paid weekly.

CSI Electrical Contractors, a subsidiary of hirify.global, provides electrical design, construction, technology, energy, installation, and maintenance services for commercial, industrial, and specialized projects.

What you will do

• Support project teams on active electrical construction projects and learn project management practices.
• Manage document control, drawing sets, product submittals, RFIs, responses, and as-builts.
• Assist project managers with reports, schedule reviews, administrative work, and preliminary estimating.
• Support field foremen with information, material tracking, and administrative functions.
• Enter project data into Accubid and work with prefabrication and lighting departments as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a construction management, engineering, or related program.
• Strong organization, communication, time management, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to drive to jobsites and work outdoors, on uneven surfaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Preferred proficiency in BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• One to three years of construction industry experience, although this is not mandatory.
