Director of Accounting (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, close controls, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting and analysis under internal policies and U.S. GAAP, presenting results, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Manage accounts receivable, inventory, production costs, and manufacturing variances to improve cash flow, profitability, inventory efficiency, and cost performance.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting for product costs, operating expenses, and working capital.
• Partner with engineering, product management, operations, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and commercial leaders on financial insights, scenario analysis, resource allocation, and operational improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four direct reports while supporting succession planning and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including financial reporting, planning, analysis, and business partnership.
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing finance professionals.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and executive-level financial analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant advanced degree or certification.
• Experience in complex manufacturing, consumer products, or multi-channel business environments.
• Public-company experience and knowledge of internal controls and financial governance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience using SAP, Power BI, and OneStream.
• Experience with process improvement, reporting automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
