hirify.global operates WAVY-TV 10 and WVBT FOX43, local television stations supported by newsroom, IT, and engineering operations.

What you will do

• Work with IT and engineering staff to maintain broadcast systems and transmission reliability.
• Identify technical problems and assist with rapid resolution.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new services and software.
• Troubleshoot TVU live packs and live broadcast capabilities for ENG and SAT trucks.
• Learn how newsroom and television station departments collaborate to support broadcasts.

Requirements

• Study communications, engineering, or an equivalent subject.
• Have an interest in broadcast engineering, live broadcast technologies, or the design and operation of complex broadcast systems.
• Be enrolled in a college degree-granting program before starting the internship.
• Provide proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.
• Work 12–15 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday; schedule varies by agreement with the supervisor.
