Engineer (Broadcast Technology)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; regular attendance at the assigned work location is required.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Support and maintain multiple studio production environments.
• Support large postproduction and SAN systems, advanced television graphics systems, and transmission systems.
• Lead the management of broadcast technologies at engineering and operational levels.
• Manage vendor issues through full resolution.
• Apply signal-flow knowledge and troubleshoot production tools in a live television environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting studio and postproduction environments.
• Experience with production switchers, multiviewer systems, large-scale audio consoles, and intercom systems.
• Advanced knowledge of current and emerging television systems and formats, including SMPTE 2110.
• Understanding of fiber-optic and copper networking technologies, video compression standards, and transmission protocols including MPEG-2 transport stream, SCTE-35, ASI, RTP, SRT, and RIST.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus basic computer and networking skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays and attend the assigned work location regularly.
